Donald J. Thomas

Donald J. Thomas, 75, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 and joined his loving wife, Shirley, who passed away in February. Mr. Thomas was born February 5, 1943 in Jacksonville to Dick and Elsie (Starling) Thomas.

He moved here in 1965 from Lawtey and worked for the railroad for 42 years, retiring in 2004 as a conductor for CSX. Donald was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wildwood, the Wildwood Masonic Lodge #92 F&AM and the Seminole Booster Club.

Survivors include his children, Donald “Jamie” & Nancy Thomas of Sparr, Clinton & Rebecca Thomas of Clermont and Melanie Thomas of Wildwood; sister, Diann Kinney; grandchildren, Trevor, Dalton, Savannah, Erin and Ashlee.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the First Baptist Church of Wildwood with interment at 3 p.m. in the Crosby Lake Cemetery, Starke.
