
Lawrence A. “Larry” Gaboury, Sr., 70, of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away on December 2, 2018 at The Villages Hospice House in The Villages, Florida. Larry was born on July 15, 1948 in Marlborough, Massachusetts to his parents Lawrence A. Gaboury and Florence (Smith) Gaboury.
Mr. Gaboury was the former owner of Larry’s Texaco on Key Biscayne and later Hurricane Auto Repair.
He and his loving wife Judy moved to Fruitland Park in 2007 from Coral Gables, Florida. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Leesburg, Florida. He also attended and volunteered at Wildwood United Methodist Church, Wildwood, Florida. Larry started “Paws of Praise” holding services at The Dog Park in Wildwood, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years: Judy Gaboury of Fruitland Park, FL; two sons: Larry Gaboury and his wife Michele and Matthew Gaboury both of Lady Lake, FL; two sisters: Joan Smith and Gail Williams both of Port St. Lucie, FL; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Gaboury and Robert Gaboury. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Susan Gaboury and Jill Bunce, two nephews, Bobby Smith and Chad Stolf and a grand-nephew, Chase Smith.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Leesburg, FL. Following the Funeral Mass the family will be having a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at their residence in Fruitland Park, Florida.
