A woman with an “overflowing” purse fled Kohl’s at Village Crossroads with stolen merchandise.
The white woman, wearing a white-and-black hoodie, entered the store on Jan. 31 and took merchandise into a fitting room, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When she exited the fitting room, she was carrying some merchandise and her purse was “overflowing.” A loss prevention officer followed her out of the store and confronted her. She handed him the merchandise she had been carrying and stepped into the passenger side of a burgundy Ford Taurus. The vehicle was driven by a white male.
The loss prevention officer noted the vehicle had “a very loud exhaust.”
The woman had taken Nike and Adidas women’s clothing with a total value of $151.98.
