Wildwood police arrest homeless man found to be in possession of syringe filled with meth

Clayton Charles Glass

Wildwood police arrested a homeless man found to be in possession of a syringe filled with methamphetamine.

Clayton Charles Glass, 44, had been walking with a woman shortly before noon Sunday in the area of Hazel Street and “acting odd,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

When officers approached the pair, Glass threw a syringe to the ground. Glass later admitted the syringe belonged to him and contained methamphetamine.

He was arrested on a felony charge of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug equipment.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
