AAC will see significant savings by speeding up purchase of aquatic chairlifts

The Amenity Authority Committee will see some significant savings by speeding up the purchase of aquatic chairlifts at eight swimming pools in The Villages.

Assistant District Manager Kenny Blocker told the AAC on Wednesday that he had negotiated a price break from a vendor that provides the chairlifts. By ordering the chairlifts before April 1, the price paid will be $4,841 per chair, including freight. After April 1, the price would be $5,297 per chair.

The installation of a chairlift will cost about $5,000 each.

The AAC had previously agreed to install chairlifts at eight swimming pools north of County Road 466.
