A Village of Osceola Hills woman reported the theft of her purse from a vehicle parked at a store in The Villages.
The 59-year-old woman said she left her black Coach purse in her friend’s red four-door Hyundai, which was parked from 12:30 to 4 p.m. March 2 at Belk at La Plaza Grande in The Villages, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She had taken her wallet from the purse and left the purse in the back seat. She did not realize it was gone until she got home. Her key to her Lexus had been in the purse and it cost her $100 to replace it. The purse was valued at $125.
The report noted that the rear windows of the vehicle had been left down.
