Lynda Pokost

Lynda Pokost, 76, in The Village of Tall Trees, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice on Sunday, March 10, 2019.  She was born in New York City, NY.  Later she moved to Miami, FL where she taught elementary education for the Dade County Public Schools for 38 years.  She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 45 years Robert B. Pokost; son David Pokost; and daughter Kimberly Pokost.  Lynda graduated from University of Miami, and realized what she wanted most was to make a difference in young kids lives.  She loved teaching 1st & 2nd grades.  She will be sorely missed by all those who loved and knew her.  Celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 2:00 PM at HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162.  Family recommends memorials may be given to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
