Russell Timko

Russell T. Timko, 81, of Lady Lake, FL and formerly of Conneautville, PA passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Timko was born August 23, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to Frank and Sophia (Petrilla) Timko. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Connick on June 3, 1961. After graduating high school in 1955 he started working on the railroad. He retired in 2001 after 40+ years of service. Russ & Dot moved to Florida in 2002 to escape the cold Pennsylvania winters and to enjoy the warmth and sunshine that Florida had to offer. He loved going to car shows every chance he got. The highlight of each year included traveling to Indiana with his brother, Carl, and his nieces to attend the James Dean Run car show. He loved spending time with his wife, four girls, and his grandchildren. He especially loved attending his grandson’s athletic events.

Survivors include Dot, his loving wife of 57 ½ years, his 4 girls; Donna & JR Lewis of Leesville, LA; Patricia & Michael Hensley of Travelers Rest, SC; Jennifer Melton of Duncan, SC; and Paula & Jerry Hoagland of York Haven, PA.
Grandchildren Scott & Savannah Hensley of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; Sean Hensley of Travelers Rest, SC; Cody Lewis of Leesville, LA; Caitlin Lewis of Leesville, LA; and great-grandson Hunter Lewis of Leesville, LA. Two brothers Frank Timko of Conneautville, PA, and Carl Timko of Springboro, PA; and sister Diane Irwin of Meadville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers David and Allen. There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics.

Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake, FL is in charge of all arrangements.
