A man arrested after allegedly texting and terrorizing a woman who lives in the Villages of Parkwood has been ordered into anger management.
Jay Sanchez, 55, has been allowed to enter into a pre-trial intervention contract following his arrest this past July on charges of stalking and extortion. If he lives up to terms of the contract, charges will be dismissed.
He must complete 10 hours of anger management training, perform 50 hours of community service and stay away from the woman.
Sanchez had been calling the woman at “all hours of the day,” leaving several voicemails and group messaging the woman’s church group, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
The woman had ended all communication with Sanchez. However, he continued to text and call not only her, but also her “co-workers, friends and family.”
Sanchez had gone to the woman’s home on July 12. When she arrived home, he used his body to try to block her vehicle from accessing the garage, the report said. He was able to gain access to her garage and the woman had to threaten to notify law enforcement by activating her home alarm system. The next day he sent her another threatening text message, the report said. He had also threatened to publish damaging information about the woman and her business.
