Villages artist takes home prestigious award from Central Florida art show

Villages artist Nancy Dias scored an award last month for one of her popular paintings.

Villager Nancy Dias’ watercolor painting, ‘Short Circuit,’ was honored by the Central Florida Watercolor Society in its 2019 Annual Juried Member Show in Casselberry.

Dias, of the Village of Piedmont, took home the Merit Award from the Central Florida Watercolor Society in its 2019 Annual Juried Member Show, which was held March 2-29 at the Casselberry Art House in Casselberry.

Her painting titled “Short Circuit,” which has been recognized by the Florida Watercolor Society and the Tallahassee Watercolor Society, was one of two she submitted and both were accepted into the show.
