James Monroe Byle

James Byle

Jim M. Byle, age 70, passed away suddenly on April 8, 2019.  Jim was born in Harrisburg on November 4, 1948, son to the late Katherine (Kissinger) Byle and the late William F. Byle.  He is survived by his wife, Donna (Fries) Byle, a daughter Jackie Stabach her husband Chris and their two daughters, Reagan and London. Also surviving is his son Joseph Byle and his wife Jen and their sons, Tyler and Braeden.

Jim loved his family, grandchildren, and his many friends.  Jim served one tour in Vietnam with the Army and after three years of active duty, he went on to serve his country for another 22 years in the Army Reserves.  He retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot after 35 years. We enjoyed 12 years of RVing full time all around the United States and meeting and workamping with wonderful “friends” on the way.  Recently, Jim became the Sargeant-at-Arms for the Veterans Association in the Water Oak Community in Lady Lake, Florida.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, at the Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, 134 N. Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake, FL. Viewing will be from 11:00 am to noon with services beginning immediately after.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to www.PatriotGuard.org. This is an organization that proudly escorts our fallen military heroes to their final rest and it was an organization that Jim so wanted to join but never had the chance.

Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL.
