It is worth my repeating that progressives attempt to retake the White House by eliminating Electoral College, circumvent it with NPVIC, gerrymandering ballot harvesting and illegal voters.
However, pay particularly close attention as they tie this all together with the word “democracy”, making claim that our Republic is obsolete. This is another of their keynotes that follow their “new normal” agenda as they reinvent America.
This is sheer political theater as they attempt to equate their manner of democracy with freedoms. One obvious goal is their hope to have voters believe that the Electoral College is an affront to our freedom. They use democracy as a psychological weapon that motivates people to obey the system and to love the state.
As George Orwell wrote in his book, 1984,” the people come to love Big Brother (the state).”
The Founding Fathers feared two things above all else, a democracy and an overly powerful executive. To prevent both is why they devised the Electoral College. The founders believed that democracy result in mob rule or groupism. And that a democracy is anathema to individual liberty and why they decided on a Republic.
“Democracy is said to be tyranny with a pretty face.” And that, in a democracy all power flows from the top down. The word democracy has been used as a facade in communist, socialist and fascism nation as a means for exploiting class warfare. We are reminded that Hitler said Germany was a “democracy in the best sense of the word.”
Barrack Obama stewardship was the impetus of the left’s self-loathing of America as he began his worldwide apology tour. Barrack Obama’s clear disdain for America’s colonial past was a part of the reason. Barrack Obama disdain reached such a level that he publicly and flippantly dismissed “America’s exceptionalism” to both friend and foe alike. Can you imagine your high school coach or a teacher saying the team/class was not exceptional, no better, no worse than any other team/class?
Americans today are subjected to Democrats’ hyperbolic and reactionary political climate rather than one of reflective critical thinking. The Democratic Party and their public relations people in the news and entertainment industry have wasted valuable time and resources on a news story they knew from the start was not news. Here is how they get away with it.
Academia, since the 1960’s has incrementally wiped out conservative thought from all levels of our educational institutions. The fundamental purpose of education was, intellectual challenge, to keep balance to critical thinking and not submission to group thinking. This explains why conservative speakers are disinvited to speak at universities. It is why a high school student is suspended for wearing an “anti- abortion t-shirt” while the student next to him proudly displays “I’m transgender” and is elevated to celebrity status.
The major contributing sources of education and information for most Americans emanate from academia, news outlets and entertainment industry as they have a monopoly on what most learn, read, hear or see. And, as social creatures this is exacerbated because we are predominantly visual creatures. Thus, visual display is used as the ultimate manner in which to manipulate people to the mistaken belief of their importance and priority. The pundits on the left priority, is #Never Trump. For the rest of us, we are worried about paying our bills, raising our families and yes improving our golf swing.
Free speech is essential to productive inquiry. Unfortunately to further an already complicated matter free speech has become a basis for power and control. Speech as power is not used for an unbiased exploring of ideas and thoughts to reach some sort of settlement on what is true. Speech to many is a weapon, a club to beat your opponent into submission, and as such free speech is no longer attainable.
The question pertinent to the 2020 presidential election is, have we learned anything from the last 10 years of progressive non-governance, and their persistent resistant obsessiveness? Much of what Barrack Obama constructed has to be deconstructed. The Democratic Party has done absolutely nothing these past two years but to resist, obstruct, ignore and otherwise has not cooperated or contributed thus ignoring their responsibilities and accountabilities to voters, taxpayers and citizens. And they boast that they are running on their record. I opine others can decide.
