A man reported the theft of an item from his vehicle while it was parked at the Lady Lake Public Library.

The 38-year-old Umatilla man said he parked his 1993 Chevy Suburban at about 2 p.m. April 24 at the library while he went in to use the computers, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He left a black JBL wireless speaker clipped to his vehicle’s antennae while he went inside. When he came out of the library, he noticed the speaker was missing and contacted police.

The speaker is valued at $40.

Recently, a teenager was arrested after he allegedly stole a man’s cell phone at the library.
