Elan Buena Vista will present a free educational event titled “Dementia Q&A.”

The Q&A will be presented on May 16 by Certified Dementia Practitioners Debbie Selsavage and Ed Youngblood. It will be held at the senior living facility, located at 5867 E. County Road 466 in The Villages, from 2 to 4 p.m. and light refreshments will be provided.
“This is not a lecture where you will hear a lot of medical jargon or talk about brain science and research. Rather, we will try to address issues in plain language that caregivers for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia must deal with on a daily basis,” said Selsavage, president of Coping with Dementia LLC. “By answering your questions of greatest concern, we hope to provide some of the knowledge and resources that will benefit families living with dementia, reduce stress and even simplify the care-giving task.”
Selsavage and Youngblood will provide a 15- to 20-minute overview introduction about memory diseases, then open the floor to question from attendees.
While the event is free, reservations are requested for planning purposes. To reserve seats, call (352) 561-8450.
