Village of Silver Lake woman arrested after driving on suspended license

Michelle Deem

A Village of Silver Lake woman was arrested after she was caught driving on a suspended license.

Michelle Marie Deem, 29, who lives at 525 Bonita Drive, at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday was spotted by a Lady Lake police officer when she pulled into the parking lot at the Circle K at 3 La Grande Blvd. on the Historic Side of The Villages. The officer who spotted Deem has responded to previous calls at her home.

When the officer asked Deem for her license, she handed him a Colorado learner’s permit. A check revealed the tag on the vehicle Deem had been driving had expired on Feb. 2. Another check revealed Deem’s Florida driver’s license had been canceled on Feb. 28.

She was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $500 bond.
