A Village of Dunedin woman has been ordered to appear in court to answer to a shoplifting charge.

Deborah Kaye Gagnon Serdar, 64, who lives at 1076 Ivawood Way, on the afternoon of June 27 entered the Belk store at La Plaza Grande and removed a dress from a rack, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

She concealed the dress in her purse, the report said. She walked out of the store and was confronted by the store’s loss prevention officer. She was detained until police arrived. The dress was valued at $88.

Serdar was issued a notice to appear July 17 in Lake County Court.
