Villager jailed without bond after defying court order

A Villager has been jailed without bond after defying a court order.

Joan Andrea Moraski, 70, was arrested at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday at her home at 2096 Odessa Circle.

The Connecticut native is charged with failure to appear in court in a compliance case, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Moraski was previously arrested in 2013 on a charge of driving under the influence. She had refused to provide a breath sample. She was placed on probation.

She was also ticketed in 2013 for having an open container of alcohol.
