New Villages’ Starbucks making brisk progress

The newest Starbucks in The Villages is making brisk progress on a prime location.

The popular coffee shop, which currently operates three other locations in and around The Villages, will open its newest store on County Road 466.

Crews have erected the cafe’s trademark logo on a new sign that sits along the popular thoroughfare.

This will mark the third location within the boundaries of The Villages. One already serves brews out of Lake Sumter Landing at 966 Old Mill Run and another is located at 716 N U.S. Hwy. 441 in Target at Rolling Acres Plaza. The other location is in Lady Lake at 874 N U.S. Hwy. 441.

In 2018, Starbucks indicated that because of strong results with its current locations, it hoped to open more than 2,000 new locations during 2019.

Last month, Starbucks opened a location in Leesburg as part of its push to expand in the U.S. and abroad. Earlier this year, the company celebrated the opening of its 30,000th store.
