A Villages of Parkwood woman was arrested after a brawl with a man who illegally possessed a shotgun.
Krystal Rosa, 33, was arrested Wednesday night at a duplex in the 400 block of Jarrell Avenue in Wildwood. She claimed she had been pushed to the ground by 39-year-old Luis Acevedo, who was holding a child that they have in common, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He claimed that Rosa had scratched him. She told police that the altercation was sparked by Acevedo “possibly having another child.”
Rosa told police that Acevedo had a shotgun in his home, which is where the altercation took place. He admitted he had a shotgun and ammunition which had previously been stored at Rosa’s home because he was on probation and not allowed to possess a gun.
She was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of battery.
Acevedo was arrested on a felony charge of possession of a weapon by a felon.
Both were taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
