A Lady Lake man was jailed in an alleged attack on a woman over “money, drugs and personal belongings.”
Lady Lake police were called at 6:42 a.m. Tuesday to a home in the 200 block of Ann Street, where 39-year-old Thomas Moss attacked his girlfriend, according to an arrest report.
The girlfriend told police that Moss had “smacked” a cigarette out of her mouth, hitting her nose in the process. She said he got on top of her and put his hands on her throat. She said the altercation was over “money, drugs and personal belongings.”
Two witnesses corroborated her story.
Moss, a native of Mississippi, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released on $3,000 bond.
