Robin Dana Perry

A Villager has been charged with selling fake Yeti products at a county fair in Illinois.

Robin Dana Perry, 72, of the Village of Sabal Chase, is facing a felony charge of counterfeiting/imitating a trademark. He is free on $25,000 bond.

People who visited Perry’s booth at the Will County Fair became suspicious that the Yeti products he was selling were not authentic. A Yeti inspector purchased two products and determined they were fake.

Perry, who reportedly has had a booth in the past at the Market of Marion, admitted to law enforcement that he made $12,000 selling fake Yeti products earlier this month at the Boone County Fair, also in Illinois. He also sold the products at county fairs in DuPage, Kendall and DeKalb counties, all in northern Illinois.

Perry’s web page says he sells Yeti cups and accessories. His page also indicates he has been in the “Festival biz experience” for more than 11 years.
