A Lake Panasoffkee man was arrested Thursday night in connection with a homicide that took place in Oxford this past Saturday.
Sumter County sheriff’s detectives arrested 55-year-old Ronnie Brown in the death of Jenetta Floyd, who was found unresponsive in her home at 11522 County Road 223.
Sheriff’s detectives determined that Brown was the suspect with the help of DNA evidence found at the scene by crime scene technicians, a sheriff’s office report states.
“Mr. Brown took advantage of the good nature of Ms. Floyd and ultimately ended her life,” Sumter County Sheriff Bill Farmer said.
Brown was booked into the Sumter County Detention Center at 7:18 p.m. Thursday and charged with homicide. He is being held without bond.
