I am a lifelong member of the Republican Party. How do I know? I receive frequent requests for funds from every group with the word Republican in its name. Oh, and there is a document on file with the county that indicates I’ve registered as a member of the GOP. And my political positions are Republican.
I’ve noted recently that a particular candidate for county office is having difficulty being appropriately recognized as a Republican. Oren Miller has been identified in this publication as a Democrat, and former Democrat. Further, some of the men and women from the local GOP chortle with derision noting that Oren was, and probably still is, a Democrat.
Oren is a Republican, folks. I know him well. I’m pleased to say that, after spending quite a bit of time discussing politics, I believe he is a Republican. I’d like to think I was instrumental in his decision to become a Republican.
Oh, and there is a document on file with the county that indicates he registered as a member of the GOP. He registered almost a year ago. And his political positions are Republican.
Finally, I’d remind those men and women from the local GOP that our current POTUS, Donald Trump, is a former Democrat. And a former POTUS, Ronald Reagan, was a former Democrat. It would be nice if my fellow Republicans would welcome Oren to our party with open arms.
