Jeanne Menconi Gimenez of Lady Lake, FL, was reunited with her late husband Manuel Gimenez on Tuesday September 24, 2019. She was born May 14, 1928 to the late Bruno and Helena Menconi of Corona, NY where she lived and married Manuel Gimenez before buying their first home in Whitestone, NY. After retiring, they relocated to Florida where she lived in The Villages for the past 30 years.
Jeanne and Manuel Gimenez were happily married for 55 years until his passing in August of 2001. Jeanne‘s greatest pride and joy was her family always putting them first. She was an incredible loving mother, who enjoyed being surrounded by her family cooking, hosting holiday parties, having good times and making lasting memories.
She is survived by her 5 children; James (Jo-Ann) Gimenez, Peter (Ann) Gimenez, Diane (Michael) Pizzo, Laurie (James) Sesak, and Robert (Jeanne) Gimenez, as well as 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, a sister Sylvia Menconi, a brother William Menconi, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and close friends. Jeanne was predeceased by her sister Lauretta Mangiolimini.
Visitation is on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 pm at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N US HWY 441/27, Lady Lake, FL 32159. The funeral will be on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
