A thief who stole three flat-screen televisions from the Summerfield Wal-Mart is on the loose.
A loss prevention associate at the store, located at 17961 S U.S. Hwy. 27/441, flagged down Marion County sheriff’s deputies in the parking lot early Thursday afternoon after the theft occurred.
She told deputies that a black female had just shoplifted the televisions and had made no effort to pay for them. She said the woman left the store in a gray, four-door vehicle, the report says.
The loss prevention associate provided deputies with a written statement about the crime and a receipt for the stolen merchandise, which was valued at $1,424.
