Villagers growing impatient with lack of progress at lightning-damaged home

Villagers are growing impatient with the lack of progress at a lightning-damaged home in their neighborhood.

The home at 1835 Kyrle Terrace in the Village of Poinciana was struck by lightning in June when a violent band of thunderstorms pushed through the area.

Neighbors are unhappy no repair work appears to be taking place at the home.

Holes remain in the roof and the garage is completely boarded up. Neighbors contend the structure is “unsafe and looks terrible.”

The home is insured by The Villages Insurance which has posted a “No Trespassing” sign at the home.
