Villages Republican Federated Women president elected to oversee statewide organization

Villager Marina Woolcock has been elected as the new president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women.

Marina Woolcock, shown in September 2016 with Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, is the incoming president of the Florida Federation of Republican Women. She also serves as president of Republican Federated Women of The Villages.

Woolcock, who also serves as president of Republican Federated Women of The Villages, is looking forward to taking the helm of the statewide organization, which represents more than 2,000 women and close to 50 clubs.

Marina Woolcock recently served as a delegate at the National Federation of Republican Women convention in Indianapolis.

“I hope to achieve the same kind of winning attitude we have here in The Villages,” she said.

The Florida organization is affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Women, which recently adopted the slogan, “We empower women from all backgrounds in the political process and provide a forum for women to serve as leaders in the political, government and civic arenas.”

It’s a slogan that Woolcock said she takes quite seriously.

“As the new president of the Florida Federation, I plan to follow that mission statement,” she said recently.
