Victoria Jarman

A woman acting in a bizarre manner was arrested after “scaring customers” at a shopping plaza in The Villages.

Law enforcement was called at about 4 p.m. Friday to Perfect Additions Boutique at La Plaza Grande in the Spanish Springs area where an “emotional and crying” woman came in and out of the store several times over a three- to four-hour period, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The woman, who at times was “singing loudly and appeared intoxicated” was interrupting employees and customers in addition to “leaving her belongings all over the store.”  The woman, who was disheveled and had mascara running down her face, exhibited similar behavior at the nearby Jewelry Design store.

Witnesses said the woman had been “scaring customers and employees.”  She had also been spotted at Belk.

The woman was identified as 45-year-old Victoria Jarman of Gainesville. She was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $500 bond.
