To the Editor:
Those people and pundits who were critical of President Trump for not informing Speaker of the House Pelosi of the raid that killed Al Baghdadi, must have forgotten about the pictures of the press on the beach in Somalia, photographing our Seals as they landed.
I’m a retired U.S. Navy submariner, during World War II a Congressman, Andrew Jackson from Kentucky, proclaimed on the steps outside of Congress,”Our submarines can dive under the Jap depth charges.” The Japanese adjusted their depth charge settings resulting in the loss of 10 boats and 800 submarines.
The submarine service became “The Silent Service” and Admiral Lockwood, maintained total secrecy.
Loose lips kill our troops.
