To the Editor:

Fellow residents of The Villages disgusted me Monday afternoon.
A select few showed their support for #45 by displaying behaviors that would not be allowed nor tolerated of their children/grandchildren in school; nor in their former workplaces.  This select group of residents — among many otherwise civilly engaged — allowed themselves to use obscene gestures; uncouth, rude, and vulgar language; and unsupportable innuendo in efforts to thwart and otherwise disrupt a peaceful protest.  Additionally, they positioned themselves—en masse—in a furtive effort to blockade the offices of the duly-elected federal representative from citizens expressing Constitutionally-protected opposition to the actions and policies of #45 and his administration.  To those Villagers who deigned to forego manners and civility while sinking into the gutter of impropriety please know this: YOU are making a mockery of The Villages as Florida’s Friendliest Hometown by directly perpetuating acrimonious relations in our community.  Stop acting like petulant kids or find a new place to display your uncouth behaviors.
