A teen will have to answer in court after the theft of a watch and a wallet at Belk at La Plaza Grande in The Villages.

Teryl Robinson, 19, of Fruitland Park, entered the store on Nov. 16 and selected a watch valued at $24.99 and placed it on his wrist, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He then selected a wallet valued at $36 and took it to the back of the store where he removed the packaging. He put the wallet in his pocket.

When he attempted to leave the store, he was stopped by a loss prevention officer who alerted police.

Robinson was issued a notice to appear Dec. 10 in Lake County Court. He was also trespassed from Belk.
