Driver of golf cart ejected in mishap near swimming pool in The Villages

The driver of a golf cart was ejected in a mishap near a swimming pool in The Villages.

The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. Tuesday on Mission Hills Trail near the swimming pool parking lot at the Haciendas of Mission Hills.

The driver of the golf cart cut a turn too sharp and hit a curb, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The driver was ejected from the cart, but did not suffer serious injuries.

EMS personnel responded to the scene, but the operator of the golf cart was able to drive home.
