Fruitland Park preparing to host annual Hometown Christmas event

The City of Fruitland Park is gearing up for its annual Hometown Christmas celebration.

The event will be held Friday, Dec. 13 from 5:30-9 p.m. on the front lawn of City Hall, located at 506 W Berckman St. Music will be provided along with a bonfire, a bounce house for kids and more. And, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to celebrate the holiday with those who attend the event.

At the Fruitland Park Library, located next door to City Hall, Dave De Luca will be performing a “Swinging Sinatra Christmas” beginning at 5 p.m. An hour later, “Frozen” characters Elsa, Anna and Olaf will stop by. And children will be able to make crafts on the large porch outside the library.
