A 47-year-old man who slipped into a woman’s bed at her home in the Villages of Parkwood has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Chad Michael Broy was arrested June 29, 2017 on charges of battery, burglary and grand theft. Broy entered the woman’s home in the Villages of Parkwood, got into bed with her and told her she was beautiful multiple times, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. When the woman woke up, she ordered Broy out of the home and ran to her son’s bedroom, where she called 911. Broy then went downstairs and took $190 in cash off the kitchen table before leaving the home, according to an arrest report. He was found by police and taken into custody.
During the legal proceedings, Broy contended he had suffered a traumatic brain injury a decade ago and at one point was declared incompetent.
