John Christopher Lamb

A Summerfield man was caught driving with a suspended license when he was pulled over for running a stop sign.

John Christopher Lamb, 48, of 2672 SE 145th St., was charged Thursday night with driving while license suspended (third or subsequent offense). A Marion County sheriff’s deputy saw Lamb driving a black Dodge pickup traveling south on SE 36th Avenue and fail to come to a complete stop at the intersection with SE 145th Street.

During the ensuing traffic stop, Lamb told the deputy he didn’t have a license because it was suspended for DUI. A computer search of Lamb’s driving history showed previous convictions for driving while license suspended in 1991, 1994, 1995 and 2007, according to the sheriff’s office report.

Lamb was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he’s being held on $2,000 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in Marion County Court on June 2.
