Veterans and stickball

To the Editor:

We have been playing Stickball for 14 years in The Villages. We are respectful of our surroundings. We clean up when we are finished.
We play from 8:15-10 a.m. on Sundays. Only 90 percent of the stickball players are VETERANS. So I guess when we answered the call of our Great Nation it kind of means nothing. When venues started to open we were waiting for someone to tell us we can play. Never came.
