A 20-year-old has been arrested after allegedly breaking a window of his mother’s vehicle at the Villages of Parkwood.
Nathaniel Kelly Gordon is facing a felony charge of criminal mischief following his arrest Saturday night by Wildwood police.
Gordon admitted to police that he broke the rear window of his mother’s white 2019 Toyota RAV4 when it was parked on NE 48th Circle in Parkwood. He said he broke the window because he wanted to retrieve his belongings from inside his mother’s vehicle.
A witness shot video with her phone of Gordon going through the vehicle after the window was broken. She showed the video to police. Damage to the window was estimated at $1,500.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,000 bond.
Gordon had been arrested in 2018 after he attempted to take a purse from his mother.
