Man who lost license due to DUI arrested after caught back behind wheel

Ruchenel DeGramond

A man who lost his driver’s license due to a drunk driving conviction was arrested after he was caught back behind the wheel.

Ruchenel DeGramond, 39, of Leesburg, had been speeding at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday on Cleveland Avenue when he was caught on radar, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

The Port-au-Prince, Haiti native provided the police officer with a Florida identification card and admitted his license had been suspended after he was convicted in 2015 for driving under the influence in Orange County.

He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $10,000 bond.
