The Villages Daily Sun finally gets it!

To the Editor:

According to The Villages Daily Sun, during a global pandemic four months long and counting, the Florida Department of Health reports that, as of Thursday, July 9, “In the tri-county area, Sumter County reported 33 new cases, 92 in Lake County and 55 in Marion County. The state also confirms a total of 17,167 hospitalizations and 4,009 deaths” in Florida ”including 18 deaths in Sumter County, 26 in Lake County and 12 in Marion County.”
And the first headline I’ve seen in The Daily Sun that even alludes to COVID-19, and I read the front page and the typo-laden Sports section relatively religiously, was when they printed “People Need to Take This Seriously.” Ya think?!
