Judith Ann Hampton, a native of Port Huron, MI and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 75.

A 1963 graduate of Port Huron High School, Judy attended beauty school, launching a 50-year career as a hair stylist and spending her free time pursuing such sports as bowling, sailing and racing Jeeps. In 1978 she moved to Alpena, Michigan, where she met her future husband and best friend, Tom, whom she married in 1981. Tom’s career took the pair to Montgomery, Alabama in 1992 where they lived until 2008 and retired to The Villages, Florida. In The Villages, Judy maintained an active social life by shopping, golfing, playing Mahjong and dancing at the Village Square. Following Tom’s death in 2017, Judy moved to Fairhope, Alabama where she lived with her youngest son, Steven, until her passing.

Judith is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Hampton; her parents, Fred and Gladys Lunney, one brother, The Rev. David Lunney and one sister, Pat Hess.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Aaron) Dickinson of Alpena, MI, Steven (Chandise) Hampton of Fairhope, AL, Douglas (Eneida) Hampton of Deleon Springs, FL, Debra (Ian) Hampton of Tucson, AZ, Robert (Naomi) Hampton of Tampa, FL and Kimberly (Del) Hampton of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Kayla, Molly, Tyler, Tiffany, Alura, Logan, Caitlin, Austin, Christian, Alexia, Landyn and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Summer, Graham and Eli; siblings, Connie Wilson and Robert Lunney; and her dog, Maggie.

A celebration of life service will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
