A Summerfield man with no driver’s license was jailed Tuesday after a Marion County sheriff’s detective spotted him riding his motorcycle on a sidewalk.
The detective was traveling south on S.E. 100th Avenue, just north of Sunset Harbor Road, when he spotted 43-year-old Matthew Thomas Brennan riding a 2005 black Suzuki motorcycle. After seeing him riding on the sidewalk, the detective recognized Brennan and knew that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license, a sheriff’s office report states.
Brennan, who lives in the 9200 block of S.E. 142nd Place in Summerfield, was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with operating a motorcycle without a license and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license (endorsement). He’s scheduled to appear in court June 10 at 1 p.m., jail records show.
