The 2021 Annual Sumter Public Schools Supply Drive will take place Aug. 4 at Lake Miona Recreation Center, Aug. 5 at Eisenhower Recreation Center and Aug. 6 at Everglades Recreation Center. The collections will be conducted at the picnic pavilions and the supplies will be collected from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
In August 2020, The Villages residents and clubs donated more than $5,000 in school supplies and monetary contributions during the 1st Annual Sumter County Public Schools Supply Drive. More than 70 percent of Sumter County’s public school students are from low-income households.
