The Villages Pops Chorus concert proceeds benefit several local charities

The Villages Pops Chorus has made a number of donations from the proceeds of their summer concert “That’s When the Music Takes Me.” The chorus donated a total of $8,000:  $4,000 to SoZo Kids; $1,500 to Angel Wigs of Hope; $1,500 to Villagers for Veterans; and $1,000 to North Lake Presbyterian Church.

“That puts us over $188,000 in total donations since we began in 2014, and we hope with good audience sizes for our ‘Give a Hoot 7’ concert by the Pops Chorus Folksingers on Sept. 27, and our holiday concert on Dec. 5, we will be over $200,000 in total donations by the end of the year,” said Villager Bill Davis, the group’s leader.
