Jacalyn Othoson Farnandez, 76, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on Friday, April 21 , 2023, in the Villages, Florida.
Jacalyn was born in Wilmington, Delaware to Howard Roger Othoson and Mabel Collins on October 14, 1946. She graduated from Henry C Conrad High School, Delaware. She married John H Farnandez on November 29th, 1965, in Elkton, Maryland. They were married for over 57 years. She worked as an assistant for numerous ophthalmologists in Delaware, Michigan, and Carlsbad California. She called Wilmington, Delaware, Rochester Hills Michigan, Carlsbad California, The Landings at Piney Point in St Mary’s County Maryland, and finally The Villages in Florida home. She especially enjoyed time at her condo on Lake Norman in North Carolina. She was very fond of her travels thoughout Europe and her many other adventure trips with close friends and family.
Jacalyn is preceded in death by her father, Howard Roger Othoson and her mother, Mabel Collins Othoson. She is survived by her husband John H Farnandez, her son John Martin Farnandez of Chesterfield, South Carolina, her daughter Kara Farnandez Stoll of McLean Virginia, her sister Carol Strencejewski of Port St Lucie, Florida, her brother Howard Othoson of Lakeland, Florida, and her sister-in-law Karen Othoson, also of Lakeland, Florida. She has four grandchildren: John Francis Farnandez, Jackie Stoll, Brayden Stoll, and Tessa Stoll.
A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held at the White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce Florida on a date yet to be determined.
