Multiple inspections revealed health code violations at a local Lebanese restaurant.
The first inspection occurred this past Friday the 13th at Alfeeās Grill, located at 989 U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.
An inspector found that while licensed for 54 seats, the restaurant brought the total number of seats to 80, violating its license in accordance with the Clean Indoor Air Act and sewage system approval, according to a report on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
In addition, the inspector found that clams, mussels and oysters had not been appropriately tagged with the last date served. A dish machine was not functioning at the proper level to clean dishes and there were several other violations.
A followup inspection was required and the inspector returned on Oct. 20. The dish machine was still not functioning properly and a violation with regard to lack of proof of state-mandated employee training had not been addressed after it been pointed out during the Oct. 13 inspection.
The inspector was back again this past Monday and found that all of the previous violations had been corrected, with the exception of the proof of state-mandate employee training.
Earlier this year, the restaurant was called before a special magistrate in Lady Lake due to signage violations.
