Ernest G. Machleit, 79 of The Villages, FL. Passed away on January 5, 2024 in Gainsville, FL.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan to Earl and Marie Machleit on February 12,1944. He attended Lake view H.S.in St. Clair Shores, MI. He graduated from Northern University in Marquette, MI. He married Sheryl Ann Marcy on July 16, 1966. He worked for Chrysler Corp. and was Army Vietnam Veteran.

He is survived by his spouse Sheryl Machleit. Children and spouses Jeffery and Tara Machleit and Brian and Shuana Machleit and predeceased by his brother Earl T. Machleit. Grand Children and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Hiers-Baxley Life Event Center, Thursday, January 11,2024 3975 Wedgewood Lane beginning at 10:00 am with Mass being held at 11:00AM and Internment with Military Honors immediately following at Florida National Cemetery
