Raising the rates until May 31 a slap in the face to full-time residents

To the Editor:

The cost to play a Championship course during the winter has gotten beyond too much.
The courses are in terrible condition, sand traps are just now getting some real sand, grass is cut way too short, and the greens, with the exception of only a few courses are terrible. At the current winter rates, we can play outside The Villages, at many, very nice courses for fees from $38-$54.The courses outside are in nicer condition, with good grass in the fairways, real ruff out of the fairways, and rolled and managed greens. I used to be a priority member, but I dropped that over a year ago when they made us pay extra for our Trail Fees. Raising the fees until May 31 is a slap in the face to full-time residents.
