
Maura Ann Holt Gregg, 83, passed away on December 14, 2024 in Lady Lake, Florida. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 16, 1941 to Raymond and Maura Holt.
Maura Ann was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and cousin. She was the oldest of 4 children and attended Our Lady of the Angels, Class of 1958. She took secretarial courses while in high school, which provided her many career opportunities. She worked numerous years for Avon while in Cincinnati, Ohio and Pasadena, California.
Maura Ann left the frigid cold weather of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1977 to enjoy the warmer weather in Pasadena, California and later continuing to follow warmer weather moved to Central Florida. While living in Florida she met Bob Gregg and they were married in 1996. Bob and Maura Ann shared a love for animals as they owned several horses and dogs over the years. Redman, a very intelligent horse, being her favorite. Their Florida home became a place for wonderful memories of visiting and riding horses, not only for family but also for friends. She was an energetic volunteer bringing excitement and happiness by transporting their miniature horses to assisted living locations for people there to see and pet. This brought a lot of smiles to the faces of the people she visited.
Maura Ann leaves behind her husband Bob of 28 years, son Scott (Jeanette), and 4 grandchildren Cory, Evan, Hunter, and Levi.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Steve (Annette) Holt and Ray Holt, her niece Tracy Holt and nephew Mike Holt. She is survived by her brother Mike (Linda) Holt and her sister-in-law Lois Holt as well as her nephews Todd, Tony, and Steve and her niece, Julie.
Funeral service for Maura Ann will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2024 at Beyer’s Funeral Home, 134 N US Highway 441, Lady Lake, FL 32159. The Gathering for her will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service starting at 11:00 a.m.
