Julian Earl Harrison, 81, of Bushnell, Florida, passed away on February 5, 2025. He was a man of great integrity and kindness.
Julian was born in Augusta, Georgia, on September 28, 1943, and raised in Laurel Hill, Florida. Julian and his wife, Mary Graham Harrison, were married for 58 years. Together they raised three sons: PJ (Melanie) Harrison of Cleveland, Tennessee; Tristan (Amber) Harrison of Winter Haven, Florida; and Charlie (Amanda) Harrison of Sarasota, Florida. His eight grandchildren were his pride and joy (Camille, Julian, Lyla, Luke, Caleb, Owen, Eli, and Graham).
He is also survived by his siblings, Sherry Benton of Laurel Hill, Florida, and Bryan (Janis) Harrison of Bushnell, Florida, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie T. and Eula Mae Harrison, and his sister Doretha LeSaout.
Julian was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bushnell for over 52 years. He was a charter member of the Bushnell Kiwanis club, member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, a supporter of the South Sumter High School Booster Club, and avid UF Gator fan.
Julian served his country in the US Navy, where he worked as a fire control technician on nuclear submarines. Afterwards, he graduated from Pensacola Jr. College, the University of West Florida, and the University of Florida College of Law. He then pursued a legal career, becoming a respected attorney and a member of The Florida Bar for 52 years.
As an avid reader and lifelong learner, Julian also found immense joy in books, spirited discussions, and sharing knowledge with others. He loved spending time with friends, visiting loved ones, and, most of all, being with his family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, at First Baptist Church of Bushnell. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Julian’s memory to Hope Ministries Center
