Robert W. DeSimone, Sr., 85, of the Villages, FL passed away on February 16, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice House surrounded by family.
He was born on April 15, 1939, the son of Paul and Anna DeSimone. He married his loving wife, Joyce and together they shared 63 years of marriage. If Bob was not on the golf course enjoying his favorite pastime he could be found holding hands with Joyce. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many pieces of furniture for family and friends.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand whether you wanted it or not. He served in the Connecticut National Guard for 12 years. He retired as a sergeant from the Wilton Police Department after a 28-year career. Bob was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church since the beginning and was an usher at the 8am mass.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Joyce, his Children Robert Jr. (deceased) James Paul, daughter in law Holly and his five grandchildren Mitchell, Thomas. Bex, Gina and David. And two great granddaughters Ava and Harley. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. He would end each phone call with “Do you need anything”.
A mass will be held on April 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St Mark the Evangelist Church. Burial will be at a later date in Connecticut.
